Going to get a Christmas Tree

See her Daddy, he always gets a really big hello

I wont lie, it stood empty for about four days.

At the Summerville Christmas Parade. She does not like loud noises as you can tell.

Armando, our Elf on a Shelf in some of his spots.

That Crazy elf likes to be upside down.

I took the camera with us the day of her surgery. This was the only picture we took. We took her from the bed to the car without really waking her up. The poor thing, when she fianally work back up after the surgery, she cried, screamed the whole time, until we got home. That is a 40 minute ride! She is doing really well.

Going to see Santa for the offical Santa Picture. I'll scan one in (at some point)

Same day of the Santa Picture. We took her to see the lights at the James Island County park, and this is her the entire ride through. She slept through it.

Missing in Action

I know I've been quiet, there just seems to be so much going on, ALL the time.

Grace and I both had out pt surgery. Things are going well. I thought I'd return to work the next day, I was UH WRONG! Thank goodness I have the wonderful boss that I have. I missed last Friday for Grace and I've been out since Wednesday of this week.

Today is the 19th and I have yet to finish my Christmas shopping, this for me is so out of the ordinary. I usually send my Christmas cards out on Black Friday, they were late. I didn't get the outside of the house decorated, just so many things are not done.

I cant believe it the week before Christmas. I had such plans for this year, with it being Grace's first Christmas, but as always, life does get in the way.

I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas season.

Cant believe I missed this date

Well yes I can with everything going on.

It was a year ago on Friday, November 30th that I saw this picture.

When I got to work that day there was talk of a little girl with congenital cataracts. I immediately logged in to see this sweet little face looking at me. I actually called CCAI and left a message and sent an email BEFORE calling my husband. Once I was finally able to talk to them I was told there was a list of families wanting her file. I still cant believe God chose this child for us. It was a long weekend, and I had told myself that she had found her forever family so you can image my surprise on Monday morning when I got a call from Pam asking if we wanted to look at her file, are you kidding me, YES, I was already in love with this child.

Her file made it appear that she was nearly blind. Could I ask my family to do this, to take on a nearly blind child? We have lots of vision problems in my family. We had two days to decide. I was a little scared all of a sudden. I was suppose to let CCAI know on Wednesday morning, my dear sweet hubby didn't call me and say OK lets do this until it was actually time to call them.

That same man is now wrapped around her little finger. It is so cute to watch the two of them together.

Carsons Sister has an art project

Help for 'The Teenager

'Yes, I snuck onto my moms blog again.... but this is for a good cause! Art class is required at my school in order to graduate, which gave my mother the bright idea to sign me up for it this year, while I wasn't home. Getting to the point, my class has their BIGGEST project ever coming up! It is called an instillation project, they're very hard to describe, but amazing to look at! This is where I need all you parents to help me! We are to base our project off of a statistic of our choice, and mine is about how many children are adopted from China each year. Now, this project will be up in my school for all to see, it should be about the size of a whole wall, possibly smaller. My idea was to get as many photos of children who have been adopted from China, and to put all their photos inside a large picture of China. If you all would be ever so kind as to send me a picture of your child who has been adopted, I would be so grateful. If you have more than one adopted, the more the merrier! (= If you could e-mail any friends of yours, tell others about it, e-mail your Yahoo groups, etc. I would be so thankful! Remember it will be out in my school, and need your permission. If you could e-mail me at http://continuingthejourney.blogspot.com/itsmegsilly@fuse.net I would be SO happy!

Thank you so much!Meggie (=Thank you!

First Build a Bear Trip

We took Grace to the Build a Bear at Broadway.
She chose her bear, a Panda.

Waiting to stuff her bear.
Giving him a heart.

Now he needs a good bath.

Lets make him a Birth Certificate. She named him Tigger.

And last but not least, lets give the little fellow some clothes. Thanks Aunt Bonny for the shorts, I still say the little guy could have come home in a tshirt and underwear. :)

As always I had a great time. Hope everyone had a wonderful Black Friday.

Gracies First Christmas Shopping Trip

You re still a cutey even when you try to hide your face.
Friday, Grace went on her very first Christmas Shopping trip. I figured I could get away with it this year, and I did, it went well. Poor Bonny was sick, she had figured her and Grace would rest since she was sure Grace would not last all day.
She dances to her own beat.
Grace and Ashlee, just how cute are these two?

My baby girl, only asked to be carried one, and she kept up the entire day.

She has discovered the fish and ducks. She would have fed them all day!
When you throw in the food, they all try to get it. If you look good, you can see the fish in the water. These fish are HUGE!

We met Bonny at Walmart at 6, from there we headed to Myrtle Beach. We usually hit two outlet shops there, Bass Pro Shop and Broadway at the beach. This year we only did one outlet and skipped the Bass Pro Shop, so we were actually home in time for supper.

Broadway has a new store. SUGAR something, this very large store was WALL to WALL sugar, it was unreal. I spent $26 dollars and came out with a rather SMALL bag. But there was some really neat stocking stuffers there.
