Grace's Big Day

Last Dance ClassRehearsal on Friday night, which did not go too well. I didnt explain things fully to her, she thought we were leaving her. She wrapped her little hands around my neck and was not letting go. She did get up on stage but didnt do alot. On the way back to get her clothes, I step off the stage entrace onto what I thought was a step, NO, really hurt my foot, Saturday night, we had to wait with her until 15 minutes before show time. It was a packed house, Standing Room only and there were people standing.Sorry the pics I took of her onstage didnt turn out that well. But she did SO well. She lost her place twice, but she knows the dance and did a beautiful job.

As you can tell, her Daddy thought she did a great job.

I miss my old house

As of lately I really miss my old house. We built in 1999 and sold it when we built our current home in 2006. For some reason I had the urge to check out the listings this morning and guess what I found. They changed the kitchen completely and added some nice shelves in the garage. I think I'll buy a lotto ticket, I love that home.

Birthday Parties

Saturday, we had Grace and PaulPaul birthdays parties together. Most of the morning was spent trying to explain to a 5 year old, that yes, it is your party, but it is your brothers birthDAY and his party too!!!! I was soooo Stressed by mid morning. We were just having family, something small. Next year she will have friends from school to invite. I think a Skating party sounds like fun. The Compton / Craven Clan

Not all family is blood, but Bonny is Family. We should have been born sisters. Maybe we seperated at birth.

She got so many nice things, including a Strasburg Dress, LOVE IT.

And this Tinker Bell Set must have had a million pieces in it. she has been painting and coloring and stamping. WHEW

She got bite after work on Friday, Saturday morning I was getting her dressed and this is what I found. Her ankle was also swollen, needless to say we didn't let her go outside at all on Saturday.

Happy Birthday Grace

Today is my baby's birthday. Can you believe this is the second one we are celebrating with her. We had McDonald's for breakfast this morning as a special treat. Her dad has to work late tonight, so I'll let her choose where we eat dinner. She was mad because PaulPaul didn't go to breakfast with her.

This time is just going so fast. She'll be starting school in August and we know how fast that time will go. It seems like the boys just started kindergarten last year and now look at them. They are grown, my oldest has already left the nest and started a life on his own, he'll be married in March. My youngest is wanting to go off to school, I'm just not sure I'm ready for both of them to be gone, even if Grace is still at home. I do love my boys, and yes I know I have to let go, but I'm still not ready. As a mother, are we ever ready? With any luck I'll be too old to know it when Grace leaves home.

I cant help but think about Grace's foster mom and birth mom today, how they must be feeling today. Did they think of her today? It breaks my heart to think about it, but at the same time, I'm so overjoyed and blessed that God choose me to be her mom. What a very special little lady she is.

So, Grace, my sweet baby girl, I love you and I wish you a very very Happy Birthday, may all your dreams in life come true. All my love, your baby girl (which is what she calls me half the time)

I think this is my favorite. If you look close enough you can see where something bit her on the cheek on the way to class. She still has a mark!

Baby Boy Graduates

I've been so stressed over PaulPaul and getting him through his senior year. Now that it is here, and I have time to breath, I find I've gone from stressed to Emotional. Go Figure!!!!

We weren't sure until the very last minute (and I mean YESTERDAY) if he made it or not. Now I'm running to get everything ready for Saturday. Whew.

Here is his Kindergarten picture. He was oh so cute and so sweet (both my boys were). He is just a tad spoiled now.

Here he is in his Senior Pics taken last summer. As hard as I tried to get him to shave he wouldn't do it, he was making a statement. Now when he looks at them he says I wish I had shaved. GEEZE, why cant they just listen.

My nephew Adam graduated from K5 last night!!! Congrats Adam, now on to First Grade.
