Hair

Well my little beauty decided her hair was in her eyes, or so she says! Well the day after Christmas I was sitting in the chair half asleep, when she pops up behind me real quick like, it didn't dawn on me I was half asleep. She did it again, this time I saw it and woke right up, all I could say to her was Go to your daddy, just go to your daddy. Now I know its just hair and it will grow back, but still it was a sickening feeling for some reason. I guess I should not have freaked out, but I did.
They even up the one side that she cut and it does not look that bad, it could have been a lot worse.

But somewhere in there as I was freaking out, I said something about her hair and the wedding, and I felt really bad when last week we were meeting Lyndsey to see the church they are getting married at and Grace got upset because her hair had not grown out yet. Poor thing

Merry Christmas (finally)

I wish they were in order, but at this point, happy to get them posted.
This year was mostly dress up stuff and she is loving it all. She changes clothes all the time. It was a wonderful Christmas. Sorry they are almost a month late. I was so excited Santa got this for her, and then sat down to excitedly watch Cinderella with her for the first time, only to learn she had watched it at the after school program.

She has asked for luggage several times. so Santa got her, her very own monogramed luggage which just happens to match her bookbag this year, so she is set! Thanks Santa. He even got her ladybug luggage tags. She got the tolietry bag, duffle bag and suitcase.

Her daddy woke her up, here she is peaking around him to see.

PaulPaul with his new camera, maybe this one will last longer than the first.

My new granddog, he loved this spot under the tree.

I was lucky enough to have Brandon and Lyndsey spend the night with us Christmas Eve. I havent had to not have one of my kids for Christmas yet, thank goodness. I count my blessings, because I know its just a matter of time. I still cant believe my baby boy is getting married in less than two months.

A rare smile out of daddy

Daddy and his girl. She made this wonderful Christmas Gift for us at school. A most treasured gift.

and yes I saved the wrapping paper, so you'll see it next year when I pull all the Christmas stuff out. Is that sad?

One of her many outfits she got.

Here is all her loot.
My Peanut. Poor old guy is still hanging in there.

He is too cute. I could take his pics all day long

Christmas Breakfast with our Compton Family

This was our Christmas Breakfast the week before Christmas. Another wonderful tradition. We started when Ashlee Gail was probably Grace's age. My how these kids are grown. There used to be just four and now there are six of them. This was Lyndsey's first year joining us.As you can see Miss Grace had a wonderful time. Don't you just love that smile.
Two of my most favorite girls.

Here is Grace telling me a secret, she is into telling secrets big time. Of course she generally has to tell everyone, so if you don't want her to know, Don't Tell HER.

I am slowly catching up! Grace had a wonderful Christmas.

Happy Birthday Paul Ray

I'm WAY behind in posting! The dear hubby turned the big 50 last month. 2 weeks before his birthday we had a surprise party for him. He thought we were having one for his baby brother who turned 30 on the 2nd. He thought his job was to get his brother to our house. It was funny, when they walked in the door, he stood to the side so Chris could go first and Chris went in the dining room so Paul Ray could go first. It took him a few minutes to realize it was his party. I think a good time was had by all I must say he had a much harder time turning 40 than he did with 50. And he was already forewarned, he is only allowed one midlife crisis in his time and he had already had it.

Wish the pictures were in order, but sorry, its too late to try and do all that. This is towards the end of the night.

how can something so cute have such an attitude towards his Aunt Peggy. Paul Rays Aunt Barbara

a little happy juice makes it all better

Paul Rays Aunt Bonnie and Uncle David came down from Myrtle Beach, we are so glad they were able to make it.
Grandaddy (Paul's dad)

Here he is trying to figure it all out. Grace had just told him Happy Birthday, he said Well Thank You, it was about that time that he saw the Happy 50th Birthday sign!

Erin is having a little happy juice as well, she only had the one since she was driving I wonder what stories they are telling.

Such a daddys girl

his first entrance

The cake was wonderful, maybe we should have put 50 candles on it.

I think he had just told me NO

Hope you had a wonderful birthday Paul Ray. And to all of our December birthdays: Grandaddy, Paul Ray, Chris and Noah. Whew, not to mention that Christopher starts it in November, then Hunter in January, Payton and my Daddy in February, we get a break in March, then Adam in April.
